Science the Body
How Does it Work?
A Breakthrough Discovery
In 1996, Dr. W. Wayne Lautt discovered hepatalin, a previously unknown hormone in the liver. Known in the academic literature as HISS (hepatic insulin-sensitizing substance), this hormone does 2/3 of the heavy lifting in metabolizing glucose effectively after a meal. When hepatalin production is insufficient, the body will store excess glucose as fat instead of muscle.
Our research has shown that having the right balance between hepatalin and insulin will keep the metabolism working optimally by ensuring proper Nutrient Partitioning. That's where the word NuPa comes from!
SciMar NuPa Daily can support that balance by protecting hepatalin production.
